We are proud to have contributed to the development of the 2026 Sectoral Paper of the Education and Academia Stakeholder Group (EASG), submitted to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
As the world enters the final stretch toward 2030 while discussions on the post-2030 development agenda begin to take shape, the voices of civil society remain essential to ensuring that education stays at the heart of sustainable development efforts. Through this contribution, we joined education stakeholders from around the world in calling for accelerated action to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) and in recognizing that education systems are a fundamental driver of progress across all the Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2026 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) represents a critical opportunity to urge governments and the international community to translate their commitments into concrete policies, adequate financing, and inclusive governance mechanisms that ensure no learner is left behind.
Together, we will continue to advocate for quality, equitable, and inclusive education as a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of sustainable development.
