JNEA Meeting with the Royal Academy for Inclusive Education

The Jordan Network for Education for All, represented by the Network Secretariat and a number of members of its Board of Directors, held a meeting with the Royal Academy for Inclusive Education, represented by Dr. Mayada Al-Natour, Director General of the Academy, on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, at the Academy’s premises. The meeting aimed to exchange perspectives and explore potential areas of cooperation to advance inclusive education and support Jordan’s national commitments related to inclusive education.

 

The Network welcomed the establishment of the Academy as a national body supporting the realization of the right to education for persons with disabilities through developing inclusive education policies and adopting inclusion standards in education. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss shared priorities aimed at strengthening inclusive education across the Kingdom. The Network also highlighted its ongoing efforts to support Jordan’s inclusive education agenda through policy dialogue and by promoting civil society engagement in the planning and monitoring of gender-responsive inclusive education policies.

The meeting underscored the importance of creating inclusive learning environments that enable every student to participate, learn, and thrive, contributing to Jordan’s efforts to fulfill its commitments to inclusion and diversity in education.
